Colorado Republican Caucus 2008

It was an interesting thing. My district's caucus was held in a small conference room at a local hotel where they expected maybe 30 people to show up. At least 200 people came and overwhelmed the small meeting space. Every few minutes a frazled looking woman would come out and yell some instructions at everyone but her frail voice was unable to reach all the people. Everyone I talked to had never been to a caucus before and had no idea what the purpose was or what the process would be. They had to divide us up into rooms and then asked us to cast our vote for the strawpull to see who would be on top of the Republican party. Then they invited anyone willing to share information about their party at the front of the room. One man came fprward and spoke a little bit about Ron Paul . Then another man, and another. No one else felt compelled to speak about their Presidential candidate. Then we moved on to selecting delegates.

Once we were done one woman asked the first man who spoke on Dr. Paul, why she had never heard about him before. The media never talks about him and she never thought to research the candidates herself. She regretted voting for someone else, whom she probably knew just as little bit about as Ron Paul.

I have requested every week at church that we pray for our nation, for our Presidential candidates, and that the Lord would give us a Christian Conservative like Ron Paul to lead our nation. Our country is being flushed down the drains by immoral Presidents who don't live up to their promises (sorry Bush). We need to stop our ties to other money hungry countries who really want to harm us. I wouldn't keep a dog who bit me every time I fed it and we should end our tied with the world based on this same principle.

Please pray for our country, pray for our leaders, and make wise and godly choices about our future. Please arm yourself with knowledge, and most importantly, please vote Ron Paul for President.
